Taelyn at Christmas

We hadn't seen our favorite niece (at least she's favorite for now!) since July! So we spent a couple of days with Tamaran and John before Christmas. You know how much a kid changes from being 3 months old to 8 months old!? She was so big and grown up already! We had so much fun, it was probably the highlight of our Christmas vacation.
kisses for Colton

She has this silky shirt she likes to sleep with and somehow, she worked her way into the sleeve. She looks like a muslim woman with her head dress.
This is Taelyn and Colton watching Walle together. I love the look on her face. I imagine her thinking, "sigh! Uncle Colton, your a dork!"

Earth to Colton and Taelyn! they were buds

naptime for them both, Uncle Colton wore them both out by trying to do silly things constantly to entertain her.

The Colton Dinosaur. One of the things he tried to do to make Taelyn laugh
One of my favorite pictures of Taelyn

Old Old picture from May 2008 when Taelyn was born, thought I would throw it in

OLD STUFF 3-MOST AMAZING PARADE I'VE EVER SEEN

Grandma and Grandpa Brady came to visit us the first week of December. We went to the Tuacahn to watch the Christmas show they do there every year. Sam Payne (sounds of sunday guy who tells stories), Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband, and Peter Breinholt performed and they were so good. Then grandma and I went to The Story Book Cascade. It's this famous parade in Cedar City with every fictional character you could ever imagine: from books, fairytales, disney movies, etc. These pictures are from the parade and are only about 1/15 of the entire thing. It lasted almost 2 hours! They don't call it Festival City USA for nothing! And what do you know? Grandma ran into someone she knew, as always. I've always claimed that she knows someone in every single town she ever goes to. Grandma and I got icecream at Bulloch Drug. She loved the old fashioned soda jerk and said it reminded her of when she worked in highschool at the Pharmacy in Rangely and met grandpa. To finish off a great weekend, we went and watched "The Forgotten Carols" the Institute Choir put on. It was amazing. I love my Grandparents, they are so fun!
Mr. Incredible
Shrek
Peter Pan and Captain Hook Fighting
Green Wizard of Oz Castle
Wizard of Oz
Chewbacca
Darth Vadar
Darth Vadar and whatever the white guys were called
Treasure Island-the book
Old Mother Hubbard-the kids riding this float were all dressed up in rags and were chanting the entire time, "We're the kids that lived in the shoe, our mother didn't know what to do! What to do! What to do!"
Pinochio and the whale
Tarzan
3 Billy Goats Gruff-there is a goat on top of the bridge and the troll under the bridge
Alex the Lion from Madagascar
3 Little Pigs
King Arthur and Camelot
Remember the book "Where the Wild Things Are?!"
Cinderella
Noah's ark-the little kids are all dressed up as animals
Big Balloons like on the Macey's Parades
Seriously, this is only a small portion of pictures. They had EVERYTHING! I missed pictures of Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid, Aladin, Dr. Seuss, the Grinch, The Nutcracker Soldiers, The Hulk, Batman and Robin, Catwoman, Spiderman, Superman, Transformers, Teletubbies, Alice in Wonderland, Mother Goose, Humpty Dumpty, Bambi, 3 Musketeers, Winnie the Pooh, Toy Story, Daphy and Donald and Daisy Duck, Looney Tunes, Mickey and Minny Mouse, Goofy, The Easter Bunny, The Little Engine that Could, etc.

I thought of all my little cousins and niece that would love to see this. If anyone ever wants to come down let us know!

Old Stuff 3

not the greatest picture, still worth remembering though
We didn't have a chance to eat our cake the day of our 1 year anniversary, like so many of the traditions I wish we could've done, but oh well. This is us eating our cake on Colton's family trampoline, romantic huh? lol

If anyone has a way to shorten this up...PLEASE let me know! :)

-Who eats more sweets? he does, he doesn't care what he eats, lol

-Who is taller? Colton thank goodness, he is the perfect height-really he is!
- Who can sing better? me
- Who is smarter? Hard to say, I think I'm smarter at the moment but if he would work harder we would be tied I think
- Who does laundry? 90% me, 10% Colton if I ask him to help,

1. He drools in his sleep
2. He thinks being a dad is the coolest thing a man can do
3. He knows how to run big farm machinery and ride horses and all that jazz you'd never guess about him, it's extremely hot when he does this stuff, but it is RARE!!!
4. he spends a ridiculously tiny amount of time on school work and it's always last minute, this drives me nuts being in an extremely difficult major where that wouldn't ever cut it, and it makes me even more mad that he pulls the grades he does by slacking, it's not fair! lol
5. the rest I can't tell you, he'd be upset at me and make me take it off anyway!

5 quirky things about him:
1. He eats miracle whip on so many things and a large amount of it

He holds his dress shirt tails between his legs in the front in order to pull his pants up and tuck them in. He calls this the "front tuck," apparently there are "back tuckers," Who would've knew?!
3. He does a smell test on his clothes to determine if they are clean enough to wear or need to be washed
4. He talks to himself and sometimes I catch him whispering something under his breath to himself, it's usually about a way he is going to get rich, a match-up for some football game on tv, the economy, etc. Often it's the most random thought you could ever imagine.
5. He eats faster than anyone I've ever seen...ever...

I'm gonna tag Tamaran
