EXPLANATION

I have about 300 pictures on my phone from the last year. I decided to finally sit down and put the ones I wanted on the blog. My last 4 blogs are updates of old stuff first up to Valentines. Maybe someday I'll just keep up with it instead of waiting a year! hmmm...probably not

VALENTINES BED N BREAKFAST

So every significant holiday we have had so far married (1st anniversary, 1st valentines, 1st birthdays) something has gone terribly wrong or we didn't even get to be together. Can you imagine my annoyance that of all times to finally be competing with track and we have a track meet in Flagstaff Arizona on valentines day. I think I actually cried. So I found this amazing deal on a Bed n Breakfast in Cedar, it was the cheapest one and I talked them to giving us an additional 25% off because it's the slow time of year. So Monday night was our Valentines day and we went to Sizzler for dinner and then stayed here. Because Cedar City has the famous Shakespear theater, this place was done all shakespear like. It's a house that looks similar to a castle. Usually you rent a room inside the house but no one was there so we had the whole place to ourselves! This was our room.
.They had robes for us. I'd never realized how comfortable they are. I want one, lol
They left us fancy glasses and truffles. This is us having our "mormon alchol" aka martinelli

gorgeous chandelier
cute little ledge built into the wall of the staircase just for decorations, I like to take pictures of how I want my dream house to be someday, and I liked this ledge
we stayed in the Cleopatra room
view of the downstairs from about where our room was
ledge and window above the door way, we really like the two story entrance ways
chandelier again and some sort of medieval wall decoration
the front door was so cool, it has this little door/peep hole thing like they did back then when someone would knock and have to tell who they were and get permission before entering

another staircase feature I liked, a little book shelf built into the wall
fireplace, we sat by this and enjoyed it so much
beautiful staircase with beautiful wood, they had little lights built into the wall so you could see where to step in the dark, you can also see the little ledge at the top
front door
Colton finding us a movie to watch in the room.

The only flaw: there's an intercom system in the house and someone who had stayed there previously set the radio to go off at midnight! scared us to death, lol. Colton hates it when I get scared and won't relax until he goes and checks everything out. He's such a trooper. We laughed about it later.

Can you imagine waking up the next morning in a beautiful place and having someone make breakfast for you!? I didn't have to cook it!!! Just eat it!!!

The next day we decided we had so much fun we wish we could stay at a Bed n Breakfast once a month. Two days after, we decided we just wanted to live in a bed n breafast and do this everyday! i wish...

Taelyn at Christmas

We hadn't seen our favorite niece (at least she's favorite for now!) since July! So we spent a couple of days with Tamaran and John before Christmas. You know how much a kid changes from being 3 months old to 8 months old!? She was so big and grown up already! We had so much fun, it was probably the highlight of our Christmas vacation.
kisses for Colton

She has this silky shirt she likes to sleep with and somehow, she worked her way into the sleeve. She looks like a muslim woman with her head dress.
This is Taelyn and Colton watching Walle together. I love the look on her face. I imagine her thinking, "sigh! Uncle Colton, your a dork!"

Earth to Colton and Taelyn! they were buds

naptime for them both, Uncle Colton wore them both out by trying to do silly things constantly to entertain her.

The Colton Dinosaur. One of the things he tried to do to make Taelyn laugh
One of my favorite pictures of Taelyn

Old Old picture from May 2008 when Taelyn was born, thought I would throw it in

OLD STUFF 3-MOST AMAZING PARADE I'VE EVER SEEN

Grandma and Grandpa Brady came to visit us the first week of December. We went to the Tuacahn to watch the Christmas show they do there every year. Sam Payne (sounds of sunday guy who tells stories), Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband, and Peter Breinholt performed and they were so good. Then grandma and I went to The Story Book Cascade. It's this famous parade in Cedar City with every fictional character you could ever imagine: from books, fairytales, disney movies, etc. These pictures are from the parade and are only about 1/15 of the entire thing. It lasted almost 2 hours! They don't call it Festival City USA for nothing! And what do you know? Grandma ran into someone she knew, as always. I've always claimed that she knows someone in every single town she ever goes to. Grandma and I got icecream at Bulloch Drug. She loved the old fashioned soda jerk and said it reminded her of when she worked in highschool at the Pharmacy in Rangely and met grandpa. To finish off a great weekend, we went and watched "The Forgotten Carols" the Institute Choir put on. It was amazing. I love my Grandparents, they are so fun!
